As a Trust we have trustees who are experienced Education practitioners- a retired Head Teacher and two teachers – all keen to support Education. In 2017 we provided some Early Years Teacher training and Some Senior School teacher training. We would like to develop this further and made contact with several schools during our last visit with a view to developing and delivering a training programme for a group of teachers from the area. We intend to build on this during future visits.
Teacher Exchange
The Trust has organised and sponsored a teacher exchange where a Zambian primary teacher (now promoted to Head Teacher) has been able to visit and work in a UK school and, in return, the British teacher spent time teaching in the Zambian school. This is an area we would like to develop further. Individual Trust volunteers from the teaching profession keep in touch regularly with teachers they have met on visits to Zambia to share ideas.
