About Us

The Wynaud Trust works in the Kabompo District, North West Province, Zambia. This is a rural area where the majority of the population are subsistence farmers. There is significant hardship and the Trust seeks to work in three areas: Education, Health and Income generation.

Education

Supporting education provides access to future life opportunities. The Trust supports local schools to make a difference. The Trust provides a scholarships for higher education and seeks to encourage training in practical skills which can then be used to benefit the community. A school fee programme enables young people living in significant poverty to remain in High School.

Health

Medical facilities are limited in rural Zambia, and it is often difficult to access proper care. The Trust seeks to encourage people to use the available health facilities.

Income Generation

The Trust seeks to encourage agricultural initiatives and business opportunities to provide food and income. The most significant incomes generation project has been the honey business.
